Full focus on ideas

New ideas always have company.

For risks and side effects of more creativity, innovation, and agility consult the Innoversity Institute.

“Be more creative! Have new ideas! Work in an agile way” If it was as easy as that, new companies would pop out of the ground with new ideas every millisecond. One unicorn-startup would enter the stock market, and the employees of any company would be happier than ever. It’s not like that in reality – no need to mention this.

Very often we hear that it is enough to simply use a method – like Design Thinking, SCRUM, Lean Startup, etc. When we use these in our company and in our job then everything will be different, better, and more successful. But this desired effect doesn’t show up. At least not sustainably. In the short run we might see some blossoming but mostly the effect dissolves quickly.

So what does success depend on? Apparently it is not enough to use methods and tools that made other people and organizations successful.

New ideas always arrive in company.

We know methods, but we want to know what’s going on behind them.

Find new ideas

Good inspiration happens exactly then when we don’t expect it – e.g. when taking a shower. But mostly it is not your number one choice to take a shower the whole day just to have a lot of ideas. There are better ways to find new ideas.

We know what makes an idea good as well as we know the right ways to find those ideas. But we are not doing this alone: we always work together with our clients and their customers – because they know best where the shoe pinches.

Boost new ideas

The world has become more complex over the years. For companies but also for individuals this more and more generates new challenges. Decision get more and more difficult because the need to be based on insecurity. Foreseeing the future has been difficult ever since. But especially today there are endless opportunities how it could develop.

In this context, the foremost intention of innovation is to find out what works and build the further development on this insight. Nothing is worse than permanently running into the wrong direction without realizing this. This is why we choose to learn.

Not Silicon Valley or Berlin alone

Digitalization still is the management buzzword of the last years. Everywhere we experience disruption. We expect new business ideas to disrupt complete sectors of the economy to secure the own future of a company and its employees.

But digitalization is not only connected with technology and economic aspects of digital product development and business modelling. In fact, for the success of digital activities it is important to understand the connected system – technological systems and organizational systems. In the end digitalization is mostly one thing: human.

Dealing with complexity

Complexity demands agility as changes comes to oneself faster and more unexpected than ever before. Agility enables people and organizations to react quickly and adequately

To be more agile it is not enough to simply execute some agile tools and rituals. Agility demands more: more rethinking, more self organization, and more of a matching interpretation of leadership – by new experience.

Master change in organizations

More creativity, innovation, and agility often demands change in organizations. Every new idea has an effet – and the don’t pop up if organizations remain stiff. So one thing leads to the other and we experience a transformation.

High degrees of complexity do not allow foresight and top-down steering. For this we need new ways to deal with change in order to further exist sustainably. Precise planning and execution don’t fit in our times any more. Successful transformation happen with different approaches.
